birthday bash... a little whirly ball?

got a group of our friends together to play whirly ball... something we've wanted to try since we heard about it.

it was created in Atlanta, and it's really quite unique. you drive a bumber car, while holding a plastic ball carrier, to try and flip the ball with your stick into a basketball hole... winner with the most points wins... SUPER fun! happy 27 to us!!

a birthday treat for the january babies (aka dallin and myself)... we bought a new puppy! little miss anika is a german shepherd siberian husky mix... and she's beautiful!
i've always wanted a dog to spend the days with me... now that i work on 47 acres-- all day long, there's enough space to really let a dog be a dog. i kid you not she's got personality... she almost thinks she's a little person.

christmas with the Thomases too! spent the week in utah, in a family cabin. and of course we all know utah=SNOW... and we definitely took advantage of that! snowboarding... it's been so long since we've been we forgot how it feels to reeeeeeeeally freeeeeeeeeee faaaaaaaaaaaaall...

happiest place on earth...

born and raised in southern california, means a lot of disneyland time. and to my ultimate dismay, my man has never been to the happiest place on earth. leave it to my mother to save the day. passes to disneyland for christmas!!

my little sister Lisa married Brent Brown on 12.18.2007... i brought dallin home to meet ALL the fam (this is serious), one at a time-- and of course to be my date at the wedding. the single older sister certainly cannot show up to her younger sister's wedding dateless. for real.

let's just say dallin passed the test with flying colors. did he even worry about it??... or did i for that matter?? dallin has one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, PR bases i've ever meet... another reason to love this boy! oh and not to mention he can surely dance.

what a good sport... one of those last minute/the day of: "what in the world are we going to be for halloween?" i found these at tjmaxx... dallin told everyone we were "transgender m&ms". he obviously goes to emory.

road trip to Indiana... meeting the pops...

another road trip to indiana... this time i took a week off inbetween jobs to visit my dad at their new property where they're building a barn and their future home of retirement. we painted, mowed, sweated, painted, laughed, painted, mowed... you know spent some quality time in the outdoors.

bishops hike...

we went with the young single adult ward to hike jack river falls... rather a dissapointing hike honestly... for the amount of driving you had to do to get there anyway. that much driving i want to see the grand canyon.
mister dallin does a back flip off the rocks... to think it takes me FOOOOREVER to gather the courage just to climb and basically "fall" off the cliff... that boy is no fear.

and not to mention the sexiest man alive! raaaaaaar... he may kill me for this post, alas, we're wedded. signed. sealed. delivered.... it's a done deal.

peachtree city triathalon...

dallin decided to do a triathalon with three other guy friends from the singles ward...

and whatever, please ignore the nasty rumors... i WAS at the finish line-- contrary to what the photos show as well.... whoops.

day at the lake

nothing like spending the day on the lake... a little seadoo time.

**note: it's actually on this particular day, dallin gave me the bruise of a lifetime. not kidding-- even a little. to date, the bruise is still OVER a year old, and well, it's still a bruise.

but i guess i got even with him... it was on this same day, he thought he'd be ever so clever as to throw off his board shorts and wake board in his pink speedo... well who knew board shorts were NOT so boyant. he had to board to shore white thighs and all...

indiana easter

both dallin and i have no family in ga... so dallin and i road tripped it to bloomington indiana to spend the holiday with my nieces and nephew... true we'd only been dating for one month, but with open arms the ostlunds invited our new guest!

atlanta braves

what better to spend the evening than directly behind home plate (compliments of Delbert Tanner via ESAB) at the atlanta braves stadium... popcorn, peanuts... go michigan? that's right twins hats... hehehe... dallin hates it when we're "twins"

too pretty a picture to ignore dallin's artistic ability... attraction numero dos-- check check. at the end of the game it literally POURed rain in two seconds flat. world record they say.... or so i hear.

spring softball

after playing softball for years... and pretty much missing it after high school. i was hoping someone would know the secret desires of my heart and magically put a team together. no such luck.

alas, i took that magic into my own hands and came up with what turned into a young single adult softball team ESAB (our sponsor-- it's a welding company in switzerland or something)... and we pretty much dominated. alas, we had a blast probably-- the best family home evening activty i've ever put together.

but most importantly... where my mister dallin pretty much smokes everyone-- attraction numero uno ATHLETIC. check check.

NASCAR... does it get any more southern redneck than that? answer: no. drove all the way down? or drove in some direction to see a bunch of cars drive in a very large oval... fun to do once, we're just not diehards i guess.
