plastic surgery~

time to get a little work done... here's my plastic surgeon preparing the table...although... he was called into the emergency room for a little stitchery :)



haven't posted these pics... been a long recovery :) wake boarding with friends at their lake house this summer was a BLAST!! i had to go and ruin the fun... attempted a jump and clearly didn't land it. 30 stitches in all... stiff forehead for a bit (like 5 months... i'm apparently a slow healer, but it was a DEEP inury!) while the nerves were healing... but now we have full eyebrow movement and the scar connects to my forehead lines! i imagine next time i hop on a board i'm going to need a helmet :)

we spent the 4th of July in Martha's Vineyard... oh hello HE--EAVEN!!! loved every minute of it... and the browns were such spectacular hosts! little beach time, tour time, lighthouse time, and INCREDIBLE fireworks over the ocean!

seeing as i'm just NOW updating our blog from march, i use the phrase "stay tuned" lightly :) working on posting our ten day trip in april to japan!... 4 cd's later. seriously, our photographer was working overtime!

monsters vs aliens

as you know dallin mentors a ten year old boy named Trey. well on this particular night out, they actually invited me along and we went to see monsters vs aliens in 3D. i have to say, the new 3D glasses have seriously come a long way!!

anika is our little hunter... she catches all kinds of rodents. this is her tactic--- trap them in the ivy and dig 'em out! she's really quite good. i love the buns in the air~

another day of filming at Glenridge Hall... this time doing a Georgia Lottery commercial. "The Millionare Academy" i haven't seen the commercial yet, (we don't have cable) but i hear it's a little tongue and cheek. this vehicle was beautiful though! once owned by the supremes... that's my kind of car ;)

you're in the army now!

it's official, mister rei dallin thomas has signed on with the United States of America, to serve in the Army as medical staff... next summer he'll be in texas for 6 weeks in basic training... plus 4 years medical school, 3-4 years residency, then 4 years serving as a doctor for the army... so Lieutenant Thomas, guess that makes me a military wife, with future military brats to come!~

med school will be at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia Campus... so we'll be staying here! guess i get to keep my job just a little longer. and his commute to campus is only 25 minutes. that's doable :)

enough already jack frost!!

what do you do when jack frost has decided to come one last time before offically letting spring come...

a plastic garden.

i have a three day garden tour coming to Glenridge Hall for the weekend of may 15th, and can't have any casualties... so, the new little plants working their way up, ASSUMING it's spring already, had to be protected... yup. over 800 linear feet of rock garden and 28 10x4 foot flower boxes had to be covered. it's called keeping my job. oh the joys.

something missing??

came home to this little surprise... what's missing from these blueberry muffins??? the tops perhaps. anika thought she needed a little snack while i was away. didn't leave any crumbs, just the muffing bottoms... :)

bubble-licious!

dallin decided to buy a piece of gum from a vending machine... and when i say piece, i actually mean the size of a baseball. well of course, that large of a gumball makes even larger bubbles!
