the BIG day!

july 23rd, Phoebe Maye decided to make her big debute! i could NOT believe i was going to have to scold this little one before she even got to this earth... "WAIT for yourdaddy!" my water broke at 2 am and it was all systems go... called dallin and he was running around fort sam houston trying to check out and get home! HUGE sigh of relief, he made it home... showed up to the hospital straight from the airport dressed in uniform and all...

here she is! our little bundle... swollen from this wild ride... welcome to earth!!
a mom at last :)
dream come true... dallin becomes a dad!!!

the newest THOMAS family!!

grandad was there from start to finish... filling in while dallin was en route :)

she's here!!!

little lady has arrived two weeks early... she came when she wanted! little miss independent already! daddy had to check out of bootcamp the same day and fly into georgia... modern day miracle, he made it just in time!!

movin' out!

moving day at the barn... off with the old and on with the new!

7.02.2010

boot camp...

2LT THOMAS... raaar :)
teaching a bunch of doctors how to shoot... ironic... they're trained to kill, but trained to do the saving... hmmmm...

oh this is serious stuff...

6.30.2010

furniture glazing and taking a break...

nice working mask to protect baby thomas from the fumes!
can only stand so much georgia heat... in for a little computer break :) 35.5 weeks along!

barn raid!

fruits of our labor... one of the many perks to living in a barn... SALVAGE! most of these pieces were discovered in the neighboring barn... talk about treasures! pieces over 100 years old! these are the pieces in the process of being fixed up... i'll post the finished product displayed in our new home :)
used an old door and old banister posts to make a headboard... GORGEOUS!! i came up with the vision and my dad made it happen... he is one TAL-EN-TED fella :)

a neglected old coffee table that looks better than new... one of the many specialties of my dad's handy work... the pieces ALWAYS come out stronger than the original construction!

6.29.2010

gadgets and gizmos of plenty...

my dad is the KING of gadgets... this little gadget here stretches his neck and spine... he did this religiously all throughout the day 15 mins at a time. hmmm... this need could be because i was working him so hard in our furniture sweat shop!

6.28.2010

moving out and making furniture!

with dallin gone to boot camp we have LOTS of changes in the works... packing up and moving being one of them. in the mean time, my dad has come to babysit me while hubs is away, so we've been VERY busy making and fixing furniture! this is me at 35 weeks ps.

talk about serious georgia heat... the doctor suggested drinking more water... 2 liters a day, so to keep up with that i wore dallin's camel pack. then add long sleeves and pants to protect from the blasted MOSQUITOS!! seriously insane to be pregnant and doing all this... BUT the end results will be worth it right :)

6.22.2010

ready...

her expression says it all...
