lazy days = pajama days!

today was a total pajama day due to the major cabin fever we were feeling from the wonderful rain!... it had been raining big time, so it was super wet outside... solved that problem by putting her shoes (yes those are authentic crisp white "jordans" from our good friend sil... they go perfectly with the fresh white jammies don't you think?) on over her jammies! something refreshing about letting your little girl explore the outside and get a little dirty :) she loved it... as did i...

she was tellin me something rather important here :)

oh and yes... she's a walker now! at 14 months :)

b is for bubbles!

my sister got phoebe these amazing bubbles from gymboree... you could actually catch them! they landed all over the house... like we had little fairies living with us :) phoebe was mesmerized... and clearly we didn't catch the photo of her in the trance :(

took a free weekend to explore the Southeastern Railway Museum.... loved it! it was a typical southern hot august day, but we were NOT disappointed in the least! it's a must see if you live here ;) enjoy the plethora of photos... there were TONS more, but i narrowed it down to a "few".... chug chug chug....

best time of day is when daddy comes home! we anticipate his arrival ALL DAY LONG!

she's ONE!!

birthday girl gets a birthday lei!

she loves wearing these bead necklaces! takes them on and off all day long :) one of the party favors...

really really loves reading! our diaper bag is full of books just in case ;)

ack! where did the time go... we are officially parents of a ONE YEAR OLD!! crazy crazy! we had her try out the whole cake thing... and she was as delicate as can be :) only used one finger at a time!

phoebe is an absolute joy! her first word was dog (said months and months ago)... daughter after my own heart :) and her comprehension is beyond what i ever imagined a one year old understanding. she has 6 teeth and not quite walking by herself, just loves pushing any mobile furniture around the room! the more the little miss can do the happier she becomes. i LOVE to watch her thinking and joy in almost eating her up everyday :) she's selective about giving her kisses and love away. she is a jibber jabber and tries so hard to get words out! i imagine when she can make sentences we're in for a SERIOUS conversation :)

while this wasn't my "dream" first birthday... can't say that i ever had a dream one year old birthday plan anyway?? (where are my sisters when i need them to come and decorate for the festivities!!) she and we were every bit happy to celebrate with family and party it on up! happy birthday to our little miss phoebe maye!!

jumping jacks!

we were in utah for phoebe's first birthday and a thomas family reunion... it was a rather quick weekend, but it was a blast!! we spent an afternoon at jumpin jacks and phoebe absolutely loved it! couldn't bounce enough and she LOVES LOVES to play with her cousins! our little party girl ;)

one step at a time!

our mini me is almost one and finally showing some interest in walking... we got her a little push walker to assist her... as her mom, i vote she's just too darn little to be walking!

this little busy body has now conquered the stairs (thanks to dad... mom tried to steer her clear of this, alas, live and let live) here she is!

we finally made it out to the GA Aquarium! (doNOT go on a saturday... crazy crowded... busy busy!!!) dallin's parents were in town for a quick weekend and we decided to venture out! so many cool things to see... the kind where you can't take enough pictures then get home and look through your photos and they all look the same :) we had fun!!
