seriously, what would Christmas be if we didn't decorate a tree?? pretty much not Christmas at all... so dallin and i decorated our first little newlywed tree... we love it! i used magnolia leaves and nandina berries all around our "barn" (aka our home), on the piano, bookshelf, cupboard, (not sure if you can tell that from the photos), but nothing like using natural elements to bring the season indoors! merry Christmas to all!

opening the ornaments...

topping the tree with a wooden star...

view of the living room... the little 4.5 foot tree greets everyone upon entrance to our home ;) and you can see it through our windowed front doors... so cozy...

and our antique 1912 piano with the magnolia leaves... funny the piano fits with the 1915 barns!

Tah-dah! and Ho Ho Ho!

I love it! It is so fun to see what your place looks like too in all the photos. You both look fabulous (anika does too) and your place looks adorable! Merry Christmas!:)
Beautiful tree! Love the decorations! Love the berries and the wood star! Where did you get the star? Beautiful house! I miss it! Wish I could go on a visit!
WHAT A BEAUTFUL home Michelle! You KNOW I clicked on each picture to check out the teeniest of details up close! :) I LOVED IT ALL!!!!!!! Your tree is absolutely beautiful and your home is oh so cozy cozy! The magnolia leaves with the red berries every where! OH LA LA!!!! Hey, did my candle stick I made for you make it to the center of the piano???? I'm so happy if it did! Or, if it's something else and it looked like my candle sitck......still......love it all!!!! The tree is just gorgeous! I love the color of it especially with the accents of the red! Oh, just loved it all! You are a fabulous decorator! :) I sure wish I could visit you! I recently read this book about a slave that mailed himself in a box to freedom.........mmmmmm????? I might just have to try that! And he did it before there was over night delivery....... can you imagine? I love you Michelle! :)
P.S. Where did you get that star? SOOOOOOOOOO my taste! Did you make it????? Also I love what you put under your tree!!!!!
Love it! Love the sprits of berries in the tree and the big magnolias leaves. We also added a bit of "nature" into our decorating with real cranberries. You did a BEAUTIFUL job! Great taste girl! But I will say... you need a new camera (: It seems the pictures you post are always blurry. Maybe Santa can bring it to you?
for the record... blury photos = 3 things... ONE dallin does NOT like taking 20 shots to get a good one-- even though it's digital, TWO anika never holds still :)... and THREE surprisingly the photos of the Glenridge Hall snippets are from my cell phone, it's handy cause i'm at work... but to have your camera lisa, GREAT idea!
Everything looks great...except for one thing, Tell Dallin to burn that excuse for a hat that has an M on it. :)
your place looks fabulous!
Yay for a cute tree and a beautiful home!! I love it and I wouldn't expect anything less from you - what good taste you have :)
